The Hole

This is where some went when they lost their homes. They are made of whatever materials they could find. Melissa helped to translate for the medical team from The Chapel that came down. She said it was exciting to actually be able to do it. She mentioned it was like talking in tongues because it just flowed sometimes with out even thinking about the words. She had a little girl that she met while she was there and Missy gave her the sweater she was wearing because she didn't have much. Mis is looking forward to going out with this team again to get more translating experience. She was able to spend some time with some NFL players that were helping to build the new Score complex (college). She isn't much for Football so she couldn't tell me who she was talking to but one was from Jacksonville.

Dinner at the WOL Camp

They had escorts.

Trip to Panama Canal

Larger scale then the one in Lockport.

Bus Ride

The bus ride was crazy, They broke down a few times. They slept over at a gas station waiting for it to open to fix the bus. It was tough to sleep in such close quaters.

Panama

The camp from the top of the hill, The canal bridge, Some landscape shots.

The alarm clock at camp

We were woke up by many of these monkeys every morning while we were working at The Word Of life Camp. I will post more pics of these 10 days later. Thank you for your prayer and support during that time and while i am away at School.

Back to CR

Melissa went back to Costa Rica Jan 9th. Please pray for peace in her heart that she knows she is where God wants her. Going back was tough. 5 months she will be back home again. She has a few things coming up. They don't start classes until 21st but will be serving at a word of life camp for 10 days starting this wed 14th. It will be a great opportunity to use her language skills. They also have a group staying at the Villa for missions trip and she may go out to serve with them as a translator. It is exciting to see her be used by God.
